Because this is my unbiased look at one of the best selling plane games on the internet. The pro’s, the con’s and finally my conclusion on the simulator that is causing quite a stir. I have tried many aviation games and flight simulators before but they have not really did it for me for various reasons i.e.

• Poor attention to detail in the terrain

you get the picture, and i’m sure you’ve experienced the same. I honestly hadn’t played any aviation games in over a year because all the new ones seemed to be more geared towards the arcade games type rather than real plane simulator games so i sort of lost interest.

However i recently stumbled across a flight simulator, well actually it was recommended by a friend and it has really made me fall in love aviation games all over again. I was awestruck, this game is as real as it gets without the cute air hostesses to bring you tea (if i do happen to find one like that you will be the first to know)

So what has it got (pros):

• Correct time representation – If its dawn in Singapore its dawn in the game

• Multiplayer games – play and chat with other flight fans, try formation flying or air-to-air refuelling (online plane games are great fun)

The Cons

• The initial download could take a couple of hours depending on your connection type. Note: You can upgrade to the disc version (recommended) and that will reduce this.
• If your not familiar with flight simulator aviation games you might be overwhelmed at first with so many planes and maps but everything is very well structured and you will be in the skies in no time.
• This game is highly addictive as i have found out so get rid of the wife and kids for the weekend and get comfortable.:-)

The great thing about this game is that the plane reacts to environmental factors such as air density, turbulence, clouds, rain. I should stress at this point that this is not a game, it is a simulation of a real flight situation. If your more interested in all action aviation games your better going for one of the arcade games, but for those actual flight enthusiasts you are in for a real treat.
